'...NBA National VP joins the fight for justice'

Charge No.: OW/511C/2023: between C.O.P V. Chinaka Chigozie before His Worship, Tobechi Agumanu [Court 6].

The Honourable the Attorney General, Chief C. O. C. Akaolisa applied to take over the prosecution of the case from the Police, which was granted.

The learned HAG informed the court that he wishes to review the case file in order to determine whether the charge discloses any prima facie case against the Defendant, to warrant further prosecution.

He however decried the the way and manner the Defendant (a lawyer) was arraigned by the Police without recourse to his office.

The charge was adjourned to 14th November, 2023 for further hearing.
